Finding Treatment in Texas for Those Needing Payment Assistance

For those who cannot afford treatment options, visit this link to see a list of the Texas Treatment Providers which are funded by Texas Health and Human Services.

Outreach, screening, assessment and referral (OSAR) is a service available to all individuals interested in information about substance use services. OSAR can be the starting point for individuals who want help accessing substance use services but are unsure where to begin.

OSAR will work with individuals, their families and support systems to make referrals and recommendations that best suit their needs.

OSAR Services are incorporated into Local Mental Health Authorities (LMHA)/Local Behavioral Health Authorities (LBHA) across the 11 Texas Health and Human Services Regions. The only requirement for service is that an individual is currently residing in the state of Texas.

Finding Sober Living Options

sober living house or transitional living is a sober residence for those who have a minimum of 30 days of sobriety and ideally have completed treatment at a residential treatment center or outpatient rehab program. Sober homes provide daily support and structure in a cooperative living arrangement and assist the newly sober person in transitioning back into society to live independently.
